Pinoy Math Teacher chosen as the Erdos Awardee

Dr. Simon Chua has trained kids gifted in Math to be better ones. Many young Filipino students that he have trained have won international competitions, the latest was on July 16 at the “Primary Math World Contest” in Hong Kong.

He was also awarded by the World Federation of National Mathematics Competition (WFNMC) in England last July.

And now, he has the much-coveted Paul Erdos Award.

Chua is the first Filipino to receive the prestigious award.

Garcia,32 is the only woman among four team leaders in the FBMA metal works department.

Capampangan, 22, on the other hand, is the new girl on the block. A graduate of TESDA. Capampangan can now work on the "critical areas" of the ships under construction at FBMA, particularly the parts that she can go under the water.
